Even when you try with pragmatic ways to solve some problems of public administration, there are always clashes with the Byzantine and unnecessary formalities and deleterious. An email written with the specific intent to bring benefits may, once they arrive in the hands of people perched on the bureaucratic aspects that do not take into account the substance, just create unnecessary problems and undermine years of friendships and collaborations. It would all be easier if every time we had, without rancor, the possibility to send us to that country so maybe we could tell when we crossed the line futility.
